User experience is more than just drop-downs and inputs - it's having fun and adding moments of delight and ease in what otherwise might be yet another tedium in your day. Here, I had a bit of fun with our mobile messaging app for teachers and parents. Instead of your usual language selections screen, I presented language options as part of the messaging interface itself with each message written in the language it represented. Adding a smiley face at the end was on-brand for the app and hopefully made this one little setting a bit more fun.
